The Grange is a large double room with an ensuite shower room situated on the wing of a 17th Century stone farmhouse.


Meet Georgina

"When I go and stay in a bed and breakfast or a hotel, I want crisp sheets, a good working shower and fluffy large towels. This principle is what we work with at The Grange."


Breakfast & Dinner

Breakfast is served in your room from 8.30 to 9.30, if you need it to be earlier please just ask. If you would prefer cereal, toast, fruit juice or an undisturbed breakfast, please do ask and this can be arranged. The hostess, Georgina, is a cook by trade. Dinner can be provided.

Prices as follows:

3 course dinner - £45.00 per head
2 course dinner - £35.00 per head
1 course dinner (comfort food) - £20.00 per head

Things to do

From your room you can step outside straight onto a public footpath. This particular path takes you across The Cover River, where you will have to walk across the stepping stones. Beautiful meandering river.

East Witton

East Witton is at the start of the Yorkshire Dales, it is a Beautiful village. If you don't want to go to far there is a great pub, The Blue Lion, at the end of the village.

Beautiful walks

There are many walks to go on from East Witton. One such walk starts right by The Grange Bed & Breakfast. which takes you across some stepping stones, over the river and up into Middleham. Middleham Castle is a great historical site which was once the childhood home of Richard III.

Jervaulx Abbey

Jervaulx Abbey, one of the oldest abbey's in the country is a 5 minute drive away, set in beautiful parkland where you can walk. A stones throw from Jervaulx is Brymoor Ice Cream, the best ice cream in Yorkshire.

Easy access to the dales where there are many wonderful walks and great pubs.
